Christine’s talks are well organised and carefully choreographed.  She entertained the audience with anecdotes as well as a detailed history of the zoo.

How times have changed!  We were disturbed by attitudes to animal welfare at the turn of the century but delighted by the variety of entertainments that visitors to the zoo from 1909 could enjoy.

Christine showed us advertisements from the zoo’s brochure that brought back memories of Halifax businesses and trades from the past.
