The Yorkshire Dialect Society held their Christmas Crack and event supported by the Friends of the Rydings.
The audience was entertained by Jim Jarrett and Nigel Broadbent. They played and sang a repertoire of their own folk songs along with traditional, dialect verse.
Following the interval, members presented dialect songs, poems and stories. The audience showed their appreciation, clapping and singing along.
Organised by Rod Dimbleby, this popular, annual event got Christmas off to a flying start; over 50 people attended. Friends of the Rydings refreshed the audience with warm drinks and mince pies at the interval.
