The Friends of the Rydings were pleased to present Why do we say that? a talk by John Lyte on Saturday 27th October.
This was John’s third visit to the Friends of the Rydings.
“I heard it from the horse’s mouth” – what is the origin of this expression?
John explained the origins of many colourful phrases that we use in everyday speech. His presentation included imagery, sound and film and kept the audience entertained and educated.
Thank you John for your enlightening presentation.
