The Friends of the Rydings – support for our library and gallery.

The committee has committed approximately £5,500 towards some major projects in the library.

The Friends of the Rydings are pleased to inform members of their recent support for our library and gallery.

Money has been provided to purchase and install new desking for the library computers.  This is now in place and in use by library visitors.

Money has been provided to pay for an annual entertainment licence so that performances and events can take place in the gallery.  On 1st March 2024, there will be a musical event.  Please enquire at the library for more details.

The Friends of the Rydings has funded the twice monthly community cafe afternoons. These are well-attended and provide a lifeline for many local residents.  For more information, please enquire at the front desk.

The Friends of the Rydings has commissioned a painting of The Rydings by local artist Roger Davies.  When completed, the painting will be displayed in the committee room.
